About The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid
The conventional Santa Fe has become incredibly popular, not just because it looks great and provides a comfortable interior, but also because it's so impressively practical. So, to build on that practicality, Hyundai threw in excellent fuel economy in the form of the Santa Fe Hybrid. In hybrid form, the Santa Fe lets you avoid the gas station for a lot longer than the conventional version, all without sacrificing any of the things that make the Santa Fe such a popular choice. The Santa Fe Hybrid seats seven, or 6 with the second-row captain's chairs that come standard on the Calligraphy trim. Advanced technology gives the Santa Fe an edge with both driver aids and creature comforts. And, of course, it looks great too.
What the Critics Say
Hyundai is banking on the Santa Fe's concept-car styling and high-value bottom line to help underscore its place among this tough competitive set. In our eyes, it succeeds among its rivals, earning it a spot on our 2025 Editors' Choice list." - Car & Driver
"The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid is a great option for a family-oriented SUV. It provides plenty of space for both passengers and cargo and comes with the latest driver assistance features. We also like its smooth and responsive power." - Edmunds
Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid Features

Efficient Drivetrain
The Santa Fe Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a hybrid drivetrain. Combined system output is 231 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque, with the electric motor providing excellent low-end torque to make things like pulling away from red lights a lot smoother. All trims come with standard front-wheel drive, with HTRAC all-wheel drive available. Fuel economy is impressive, with combined ratings of 36 mpg for the FWD configuration and 34 mpg for AWD. Compare that to 24/23 mpg for the conventional Santa Fe. The Santa Fe Hybrid can tow up to 2,000 pounds, and trailer pre-wiring as well as trailer sway control come standard. One more way that the Santa Fe Hybrid delivers unbeatable value for money.

Stylish Versatility
Hyundai isn't shy about making bold styling decisions that put the whole brand out ahead of the rest of the industry in the aesthetics department. While some of this, like the available 20-inch wheels, are just styling choices, things like the all-LED exterior lighting also improve visibility and the safety of the Santa Fe Hybrid. The rear cargo area measures 14.6 cubic feet, which is quite a bit of space, but when you need more, the second- and third-row seats fold down for a maximum capacity of 79.6 cubic feet. And if you need even more cargo space, the roof rails hold up to 220 pounds. There is comfortable seating for up to seven passengers, with heated first-row seats coming standard, and both first-row ventilation and second-row heating are available.

Advanced Technology
To go with the futuristic looks of the Santa Fe Hybrid, as well as the advanced drivetrain, there are all sorts of driver aids and infotainment features to make your driving experience more enjoyable and safer. The available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is joined together with the 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen in one continuous curved piece, for easy visibility and use. For additional information, there is an available 12-inch head-up display that lets you better keep your eyes on the road without missing anything important. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® come standard, and the available 12-speaker Bose® premium stereo makes whatever you want to listen to sound fantastic. Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go is standard, and for models equipped with onboard navigation, you get navigation-based Smart Cruise Control with Curve Control.
