About The Hyundai Tucson

Practical, good-looking, and an outstanding value for money, the Hyundai Tucson offers clear advantages in the highly competitive world of compact SUVs. The roomy cabin and supremely comfortable ride make your daily commute an enjoyable experience, while the class-leading cargo space makes weekend trips or even just grocery store runs a lot easier. The Tucson also features impressive tech, and handily outclasses its competitors when it comes to standard equipment. This includes a ton of safety features, which are part of the reason why the Tucson is a safety leader among compact SUVs. The 2.5-liter engine gives you a great mix of ample power and great fuel economy.

What the Critics Say

"It comes with a lot of standard features for your money and is backed by a long warranty. A smooth ride and a roomy cargo area are other positive attributes." - Edmunds

"The Tucson is Hyundai's best-selling vehicle and among our higher-rated compact SUVs. It's in that sweet spot of being roomy but not cumbersome, it comes with numerous safety features as standard, packs a lot of equipment for the money, and has better warranties than most of the competition. On top of all that, we'd say it looks pretty darn good as well. Unsurprisingly, our owner reviews are overwhelmingly positive." - Kelley Blue Book

What's New For 2025

The Tucson got refreshed exterior styling for 2025, which included a new front fascia as well as new wheel designs. Inside, you'll find a noticeably larger infotainment touchscreen, even bigger than the optional larger screen in last year's model, as well as an available fully digital gauge cluster.

Hyundai Tucson Interior

Capable And Practical

While many competing compact SUVs will use a smaller-displacement engine with a turbocharger, the Tucson is powered by a larger 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, which means better low-end torque for pulling away from lights and city driving in general. It's rated at 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and sends power to the front wheels as standard, but there is all-wheel drive available for every trim. The interior is spacious, as evidenced by the maximum cargo space of 80.3 cubic feet, an absolutely enormous amount for a compact SUV. And if you still need to bring more cargo with you, the Tucson has a 2,000-pound towing capacity.

Hyundai Tucson Interior

Well Appointed Interior

The Tucson stands out from the compact SUV crowd thanks not only to its high level of standard equipment, but also the long list of available equipment that lets you outfit your Tucson with some genuinely impressive materials and equipment. There is an available heated steering wheel, as well as heated seats for both the front and back, as well as ventilated seats in the front, and you can get all of those seats upholstered in genuine leather. The infotainment touchscreen is 12.3 inches diagonally, and if you opt for the digital gauge cluster, which is also 12.3 inches, the two screens form a continuous curved piece. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® come standard, along with HD Radio™ and SiriusXM Satellite Radio. And if you're really into music, you're going to want the available Bose Premium Audio System.

Hyundai Tucson

Class-Leading Safety

Hyundai as a brand is a standout among mainstream vehicles when it comes to safety, and the Tucson is a big part of why. Not only does it have a 5-star crash test rating from the NHTSA, but the Tucson comes loaded with a ton of standard safety tech to help keep you from having a crash in the first place. That includes things like Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Following Assist (LFA), and even Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) is standard. Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go, usually only standard on high-end luxury vehicles, is also standard on the Tucson. Not everything is standard, but the optional equipment is more about convenience than safety, like Surround View Monitor (SVM), or Remote Smart Parking Assist (RSPA), which is something usually not even available in this segment. The available all-wheel drive helps you remain in control in low-traction environments, and opting for AWD also gives you a Snow driving mode.
